Terms of use
Draft: these terms are a placeholder and have not been reviewed by a lawyer.
1. What Leash is. Leash is open-source software: a Claude Code plugin that checks payments your AI agent wants to make against rules you write; a job board that matches those payments with independent runners; and the LeashEscrow smart contract on Robinhood Chain that holds the agent's USDG until the job settles.
2. Not a bank. Leash is not a bank, a money transmitter or a payment processor. Funds sit in a public smart contract whose rules nobody, including Leash, can override: they can only go to the job's runner or back to the agent. Runners make the fiat payments from their own accounts.
3. Your responsibility. Agents' owners write the rules, hold the agent's wallet key and approve what Leash asks them to. Runners decide which jobs to take and must follow their payment apps' terms. Everyone is responsible for complying with the laws that apply to them.
4. What isn't allowed. Illicit funds, fraud, scams, sanctions evasion, and payments to people who didn't agree to be paid.
5. Disputes. A disputed job is decided by the job's arbiter on the sealed proof. If the arbiter doesn't decide within 30 days, the escrow refunds the agent.
6. No warranty. The software and contract are provided "as is", under the MIT license, without warranty of any kind. See Risks.
7. Third parties. Payment apps, Robinhood Chain, the USDG issuer and Claude Code are operated by third parties under their own terms. Leash is not affiliated with Robinhood Markets, Inc., Paxos or any payment app named on this site.
